SOLUTION
EXPOKART is an automated rental/concession system for carts/loading platforms to facilitate the transport of small goods between parking areas and the interior of the exhibition halls. Furthermore, it allows the fair organizer to prevent the indiscriminate entry of vehicles into the halls.
PROBLEM
MOST EXHIBITIONS AND FAIRS ARE SET UP AND DISMANTLED IN SHORT PERIODS OF TIME, CHARACTERIZED BY THE LARGE NUMBER OF WORKERS INVOLVED IN BUILDING AND DISMANTLING STANDS, MAKING IT A SOMEWHAT CHAOTIC PROCESS.
OPERATION
- It makes the work easier for exhibitors by providing them with useful help, reducing the assembly and disassembly times of the stands.
- By providing the trolley service, the operator offers better service
- By offering car/platform rental services, it is possible to prevent/prohibit the indiscriminate entry of vehicles into the pavilions by exhibitors.
- Implementing EXPOKART with operator-defined cart models reduces the risk of accidents.
- The system manager can define and control the availability of the cart service before or after a specific time.
- EXPOKART allows the operator to generate new income through car rental service (by the hour, by the day).
- The trolley/loading platform dispenser is fully automatic and operates using only a credit card, thus avoiding the costly loss of unreturned trolleys.
- Instructional and informative videos guide the customer through the dispenser's 19” touch screen in the process of obtaining a cart/platform.
- Once the credit card is accepted, the dispenser releases a cart and issues a receipt. The system identifies and associates the cart number, the receipt number, and the accepted/authorized credit card.
- Upon returning the cart, the dispenser again identifies the cart number and proceeds to charge the credit card for the service, in accordance with the rates and conditions pre-established by the system manager.
- Once the charge has been processed, a receipt is issued with all the details of the transaction (date, time, usage time, rate, VAT, tax ID, etc.)
- To avoid possible loss of carts and only in the event that the user does not return the cart within the established time period, the system will charge the total value of the cart to the previously accepted/authorized card.
- The facility operator may issue loyalty cards to special customers for a specific period of time.
- These cards offer free use to the customer and, at the same time, identify them as the user of the service in case they do not return the shopping cart.
The EXPOKART system does not store personal banking data.

- Status of each of the dispensers
- Number of carts available at each dispenser
- Alarms: Min/max. quantities of available carts, vandalism, maintenance, printer paper, etc.
- Access to records of all financial transactions by hour, date, etc.
